Lists in Latex

There are three basic types of list in LaTeX, each with its own environment:

Ordered Lists

\begin{document}
% Ordered Lists
\begin{enumerate}
\item Africa.
\item America

\end{enumerate}

\end{document}

Output :


1. Africa.
2. America
3. Asia.

Unordered Lists

\documentclass[12pt]{article}
\begin{document}
% Unordered Lists
\begin{itemize}
\item Africa.
\item America
\item Asia.
\end{itemize}
% Ordered lists end
\end{document}

Output :


  • Africa.
  • America.
  • Asia.

Description Lists

\documentclass[12pt]{article}
\begin{document}
% Unordered Lists
\begin{description}
\item Africa.
\item America
\item Asia.
\end{description}
% Ordered lists end
\end{document}

Output :

America
Asia.
